Helpful Information for Taxpayers
How to prepare for your tax appointment
You — the taxpayer — are responsible for the accuracy of your return, based on the information you provide to Tax-Aide — see the Taxpayer Responsibilities flyer.
Volunteers have limitations, based on the complexity of the return. If a tax return requires a form or knowledge outside the scope of our program, our training, or our IRS certification, we cannot file it. See the Tax-Aide Scope Limitations flyer for tax-related matters that we cannot help with.

We file returns electronically. We do not provide legal or financial advice.

Before your appointment with a Tax-Aide volunteer, please have all your tax forms and data easily available. You may want to refer to the Checklist of Important Documents.

Filling out the Intake Booklet beforehand is very helpful and will save you time on the day of your appointment. Click on the button below to open a downloadable PDF copy of the Intake Booklet; you can then print it on a printer and fill it in before your appointment.
